Keroosen Govender
Software Developer
About Me
My curiosity for technology started the day my dad brought home a Pentium 1 desktop, which ran MS-DOS, and one of the most epic games of the 90s, Duke Nukem. My love for technology has grown from that point on, to become my career passion.
Being a software developer is to be involved in a world that is continuously changing at a rapid speed. This has driven me to want to grow in my knowledge and capabilities within the industry. I strive to create bespoke software for the purpose of adding value to the world around me. My driving force is to use my skill set to make people's lives easier in whatever way I can.
Humility, integrity and the willingness to help others are some of the values I try to add to everything I do.

Interests
Fishing
This is one of my favourite past times. I have been fishing for many years and have come to have a deep appreciation for the sport and the creatures I catch. I always do my best to practice a catch and release policy, in order to preserve our environment, and also to allow other fishermen to have the experience of catching some of these wonderful creatures.
Learning
Growth and learning has always been vital to me. I have embarked on personal learning projects, the latest involving Python, Flask and understanding how to create a CI/CD strategy for the learning project.
